How to free the handbrake cable?
Discussion
I've finished all of the work I needed to do on the brakes/front suspension and engine bay and now starting on the back half. I've taken off the rotors and have the calipers dangling by the handbrake cable. Handbrake adjuster is fully slackened off and the cable end is unhooked from the lever on the caliper. However how the hell do you get the handbrake cable off the caliper assembly. The outer cable ends in a white plastic bush that is pushed into the caliper housing and I can't see a way of getting the said bush out of the caliper without doing some damage. I can't see any retaining circlip and it won't push out. See piccy below. I've got to be missing something obvious - any help would be appreciated.
One final question. The rear discs are 283mm diameter/standard Sierra Cosworth I believe. I've just put in Ferodo DS2500 pads in the front and would like to use Ferodo at the back. The rear pads coming off the car are much smaller than the fronts what should I be ordering?
Thanks in anticipation......
