Much like mine, except I have the ACT stainless manifolds, not the CliveF balanced ones.
And my chassis is black.
The more I see your posts the more I think mine is the car you're after.
But I'm not selling mine and it's taken 10 years to get it to how it is now, although that's been 10 years of fully enjoying the car and upgrading it steadily without just throwing a load of money on it.

The difference between mint and a dirty old engine ;-) Ste.
Oops that what happens when you get through half a bottle of rum !!
Basically I was fed up with going to look at cars when they said the were mint and very clean engine bay and all ,
The picture I posted was my old engine bay , an example of a mint engine bay in my world !!
You could say a drunken rant !!
Sorry for the confusion .

"MINT". To me this always meant exactly as it left the factory, as a coin that was just minted.
To some mint means more polished than orginal, perhaps some silicon hoses, shiny bits added etc.
To most sellers they mean the mint that grows in my back garden, wilted and rotting and well past prime this time of year.

Hi if you are still after a griffith like the one in your picture then there is one at a dealers near to me.
It's up for £18k but you might be able to get it cheaper direct from the owner.
It's mint like you want.
Have a look at the pictures, google polesworth nissan garage and search there stock.

I know that car, it was registered '3 GAD' but has obviously had a no. plate change. It belonged to a TVRCC member in my region who chopped it in against a Maserati. It's a nice car. It's up for £18k but you might be able to get it cheaper direct from the owner.

18 grand is a lot for a 4 litre but it'd cost you to get a 10k car to that standard - there's probably two grand in hoses, JP stainless pipework and tubs of metal polish just in that one under bonnet photo. Plate has to be worth another grand? Beautiful.
Nothing wrong with the grey interior, it's the carpet colour that makes it look washed out. Dark coloured carpets would sort that out quickly and cheaper.
Agree with the dash comment though. Big mistake, get it veneered,
But you have to love both as they are if you buy that car or it's an expensive proposition.

Yes, that's the problem with these cars ( and the age they are now ) is finding a colour / dash combo that you are happy with as £18 grand and then having to fork out to sort the interior and dash won't be cheap.
I couldn't live with a grey interior on any car, least of all one of the ultimate sports cars ( the Griff ) but many 964s, 993s , M3s etc etc in the early to mid 90s had marble grey interiors.
I really like the dash colour on mine ( navy Vinle ) and the door cards ( navy Vinle ) but I don't like the magnolia seats and console colour.
My carpets are a nice shade of navy blue, edged with Magnolia, but they do make it gloomy inside, so when funds permit I will go for red seats, door cards, centre console and probably carpets too.
My first Griff a feb 96 HC, was optioned with full doeskin leather, inc the dash top, which I quite liked.

I think unless you start from scratch and build a car to your exact spec, it's impossible to get the right spec. At a decent price. At the time when you want to buy. With a solid chassis and engine.
My first Griff was flint with flint carpets - 'orrible. My current one is a lightish grey - similar to the 993 marble grey - again, not ideal in a perfect world, but at least it's good condition and has got a green dash and green carpets to break the John Major-ness up. Basketweave stainless dash on mine - again, I'd rather have veneer, but it'll do. Who on earth ever thought flint or grey was a sensible choice when they could spec these cars from new??
Chances of my ideal car in rolex or imperial blue with magnolia/blue full hide and blue carpets and walnut turning up at a sensible price are remote.
Just watch the classifieds - there'll be half a dozen to that spec appear now...

Andy you are so right....who on earth went for grey when these beasts were new !! The John Major effect I suppose. I very nearly went for a 964 or 993 in 2007, I looked at lots of cars, but all I kept finding was marble grey interiors and to re trim a 911 is very £ expensive.
Have you a photo of the 2 blue exterior colours you mention ? Are they BMW colours ?
