Yes, you will have much less trouble fitting the LR pump. There is very little room on a Griff to fit an electric pump due to the sloping radiator and central expansion pot. Also, the bonnet roller crossbar limits the height of any pump you may choose.
I gave up in the end and went LR...the pulley etc. is there, why not use it?

I thought the point of using the Astra (or possibly Vectra) pump was that it had a pressure sensor that only operated the pump when it is required ie. below a certain speed. https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
I drove both the PAS and non-PAS Griffs before I bought the Green Meanie and found the PAS Griff very light at speed. Does the P38 pump have this pressure sensor or am I missing the point? Pete
