I've decided to go for Steve's Headlight covers to update the look of my Chimaera. The car is Rolex Blue and I can't decide whether to specify Clear or Smoked lens covers.

I think the choice is relatively simple if you have a "light" coloured car then probably Clear would look best, with a "dark" coloured car then it would be Smoked.

Rolex Blue (see profile) is sort of in between .......

If anyone has either fitted, I'd really appreciate some photos to help me decide.

Thanks

Clear too. smoked looks abit boy racer and chavvy IMHO.

Is Steve still doing the Lupo conversion behind a headlamp cover?

When I saw the Lupo behind the clear Cover it looked great, and you have the added bonus of a good modern reflector.

Smoked - Not the Steve Heath because I wanted to ditch all the lighting parts and replace with new mk 3 lights - also wanted to keep to the TVR design

I'm going Mk3 and am booked in May 3rd and I'm going for the "clear" look (Starmist Blue car)

I was booked in about 9 weeks ago but they couldn't source any lenses so have been waiting patiently.

Found some myself yesterday cool

Just to add - the rear lights are smoked as standard which kind of made me think that TVR would have fitted the front covers smoked to match, perhaps someone could confirm this with a mk3.

Also note the mk3 mirrors because the originals had been repaired and fell apart when removed for a repaint - thought the part prices made it a no brainer to replace, but would add that because the new position is higher they do create a blind spot unless you sit up a little to look over them.

Yes that was my experience re the Corrado mirrors fitted in a friends car. I'm 6 ft and still had to sit up to see past the blind spot. I wasn't impressed at all. Side vision isn't great at the best of times so making it worse seems a backward step. They don't look as good either imho.
