Hi all - on the griff there is rubber trim that runs round the edge of the opening for the drivers door (not the door, the opening in the main bodywork). The trim that goes over the bodywork lip and also the carpet edge. This trim goes all the way up to where it meets the rear roof.

On mine, the trim has lost it's ability to stay put at the top, where it meets the hood. It should go up and then bend at 90 degrees and then kind of clip onto a plastic end cap thingy. Currently I have sikaflex setting - holding it in place vertically, and then tomorrow, when it's set, I'll stick down the 90 degree bend bit and see if it holds when the roof is closed again (closing the roof pushes down on the rubber trim and this is why it has given up).

Just wondering if anyone has dealt with this and has other ideas?

Also - is the TVR owners club worth the £60 joining fee (and I assume this is annual?). I ask as I used to be a member of the Westfield WSCC forum and had to pay a fee, but I ended up not renewing as it is quite stagnant now, with little activity other than people showing off carbon addons. Most of the decent mechanics left when they were asked to pay to post on the forums (a sentiment I totally understand ).

Ref. the TVRCC, you'll get all sorts of different views on here, but bottom line is that the monthly magazine is good (and well produced), you're likely to get some insurance discount which will pay back some of the fee, discounted tickets to events like Silverstone Classic, and you're supporting a defined and recognised club which promotes the TVR brand we're (mostly) passionate about. For me all that's well worth it, and then plenty of people join in socially, local events etc, which admittedly there's plenty of via non-club circles but it's there if you're interested. Give it a go and if you don't like it or feel not of value you can always give up after a year - it's only a tank of fuel in the grand scheme of things
