Alternative seat list .
Discussion
As the title really i know that various alternative seats have been fitted to the Griffith
For example Cerbera , Tuscan , Lotus Elise , Mazda mx5 etc .
I just thought that it might be nice to have all the alternatives out in the open
And perhaps if the owners could kindly put up some pictures of their seat modifications .
I have been looking at getting my standard Griffith seats refurbed and was thinking of what alternatives there was looking on E bay i reckon mk 1 Audi TT , and Rx7 seats might be in with a chance of fitting in the interim or if they were comfy to get refurbed and fit semi permament .
I personally find the standard seats fine perhaps a little more side bolster grip needed but their very comfy .
Kind regards Tom .

I'm in the process of fitting some mx5 mk2.5 high back seats to my Griffith for everyday use, the seats fit ... just. A number of adjustments are needed to make them fit.
I found that the standard seats have mounting holes at the same centres each side, but in slightly different places in the wells either side of the tunnel. This means you can't make the same brackets for both sides without measuring each first. My car had the riser blocks on the standard seats
The mountings in the mx5 seats are different , so you need to either drill the floor or make adjustment brackets for the runners to fit into the existing holes. I used universal runners modified to fit the required bolt centres.
I also took an inch of the base seat foam out to lower the seating position slightly as the base is thicker than the standard seat even if you take the riser blocks out.

What a good idea .
