I believe they are 16cm (6"). I'm just putting a pair of these in:

They're not the cheapest - nor the dearest - mid range I guess. Good punchy sound though.

The OP has probably resolved this but for anybody else searching...
I did some research and if you want to keep as OEM as possible and replace or update the speakers you have these are the best match I found.
Pioneer TS-G1332i 5.25" 13cm 2-Way Coaxial Car Speakers G Series, 240 Watt
Note the 13cm, this refers to the driver which is a very close match to the original, the surround takes them out 16cm. The depth and recommend hole cut is is pretty much identical as are the fittings on the rear (one small and 1 large spade fitting)
Fitting is fairly straight forward but you need to use the outer holes and go through the mount and then the speaker in go, its a little awkward but it will all make sense when you do it. The grill just pushes in easily when its all lined up, dont force it, equally dont warp the housing by over tightening.

Pair on rear shelf, left new, right old
I'll hang onto the old ones if anybody wants them
The back of my 95 Griff hasn’t got those additional air vents. My rear speakers were mounted on a naff plastic spacer with crudely drilled holes on the bottom of the spacer to give the ventilation from the boot and mount the rear speakers.New driver laying on old driver
