Has anyone looked at the 4.3 Green Griff that’s been for sale at Dave Fox cars? I made some enquiries about a month ago and had some underside photos sent to me, the Chassis looks quite rough but was assured that it was just surface and would sand off!! As I’m at the other end of the country I thought it was too far to travel to make a wasted journey so I tried to put it at the back of my mind.....til now!!

If it's that bad I would say it's a definite outrigger replacement, mine dident look to bad underneath but the bit you couldn't see was really bad, don't forget that's what you're seat belt is connected to.

It looks a nice car and the price seems to be reasonable enough to spend a couple of grand on outriggers and end up with a decent Griff for £20k

Aug 2014. 56,037m "Chassis corroded in places" Was the 1st Advisory regarding the chassis.

And

DFC are confident it won't get another chassis Advisory, read into this what you will.

That was one of the first things I did when I found out the registration number, strange thing is it was in Aberdeen for many years until 2013, I nor my TVR mates had never seen it before ......mind you it only seemed to do just over 1K between MOT’s. The Chassis corrosion issue goes back many years according to the advisories. I know from past experience that if there are corrosion issues it nearly always turns out to be worse that it seems!!
