I found another push button under the dash, above the battery. I have no idea what this does as nothing seems to happen when I push it. Anyone have one of these?

It looks like an inertia switch (fuel cutoff)? It's probably a push-to-reset thing, so won't do anything if it hasn't actually tripped.

As above, it's the fuel pump inertia switch.
Cuts off fuel on the event of an accident.
You should feel a positive click when pressing it to reset if its been triggered.

As said an inertia switch. It should set a light on the dash if it has been tripped.

"should" is the operative word there, Steve - It didn't throw a light on my car when I entered a gravel trap at Mallory Park at speed and sideways.
The car didn't roll over, more by luck than judgement.

So i was well puzzled when, after a mental change of undercrackers, I tried to re-start the car. The starter turned over as fast as usual but nothing else happened. After a quick call to my TVR guru Mat Smith, I pressed the button and all was well again. It's the only time I have tripped that switch, so on that basis it's correctly set up to only activate when roll-over is imminent but hasn't yet actually happened - perfect timing.

Isn’t that exactly what happened to bring that Chim to a halt on Top Gear (thanks Flintoff!)?
