You will always have that dilemma. The 500 is the better car in my opinion except for the noise and with the prices the way they are now, changing to a 500 could be the easiest way out.

Yes you can develop the 4.x car but how would you feel when a 500 leaves you for dead because it has more grunt and better brakes.

Need to dash I can hear the 4.x police knocking on my door...

I find the 4.x handling very hard and very lively. Bounces all over the place and this makes hard to get on the limit as you don't get that confidence that everything is right. The 500 is slightly softer and just feels a lot better. But go try.

I can testify to my Griff being rock solid past 120mph, although I have got at least 50KG of luggage in the boot and we're two-up. It doesn't go around corners too well though - who thought of putting all those bends on Italian autostradas? It's a bog-standard '97 500 btw, but it normally feels a bit light at high speeds without so much weight in the back.
