Just enjoyed a bit of ‘90s nostalgia with Dancing Queen on Ch91, That’s TV Gold. I love exploring the lower reaches of the freeview chanels.

Filmed in 1993 it features a rather lovely pre-cat J reg Griff (and a rather lovely Helena Bonham Carter)

I didn’t get the reg. but guess it was a TVR loan or product placement. Sounded lovely but not sure I’d be driving it across a Yorkshire beach without worrying about it dissolving. I wonder if the car still exists.

Good sleuthing. I got as far as Wikipedia and was distracted by the Helena B C links.

And a 4.3 like mine. Good stuff.

One of the most famous Griffs , factory press car driven all over by the likes of Clarkson etc. (you tube videos.) owned by Paul Bennett. Reg is J631NFV.

Never heard of this before so had a search, bit at the end with the Griff quality isn't up to watching really beyond that scene which as both the TVR and HBC legs. Was TV really that poor quality in the 90's

Always loved that Dancing Queen mini movie!! Bonham Carter was stunning! The TVR was fantastic - didn't Rick May all actually own a Griff and later a Cerbera?

I loved it so much I bought the entire series on DVD.

Fans of miss Bonham Carter would enjoy the Worricker trilogy, a sort of modern cynical spy thriller made only recently and what amazes me is she is still so bloody gorgeous in it!!!

This was my favourite episode and I have it on VHS!

I saw it when it was first aired as was a fan of the series.
Helena Bonham Carter at her best and when I saw the Griff in this I really wanted one (one of each!)

I concur totally Dusty!!! Helena was absolutely ball achingly gorgeous in Dancing Queen and that scene at the end when she is in a fabulous black dress dancing in a bandstand against the sunset and Rick tears up the beach, all four Griffith driving/headlamps ablaze and the V8 howling like a wave of rolling thunder gives me goose bumps to this day.....

Absolutely fking epic!!

It probably helps that we have aged at the same speed as she has aged.....except speaking for myself, I seem to have aged more than her
Totally agree with Saxon. Good taste, both car and crumpet.
