Griffith outdoor cover

I need to leave my car outdoors (in a secure lock up) for a couple of months in the summer and looking for an affordable cover.
Any covers* that you would recommend?

Make sure the car is as dust free as possible before fitting a cover as in the wind the cover will move and gently scratch the paint

I wouldn’t cover it, just apply a good coat of wax to the paintwork and some protectant to the hood and it should be fine.

Don’t cover it up you risk scratching the paintwork or worst moisture bubbling the paint work

I agree with Lee but it might be worth getting a top cover for the windscreen & hood area.
I've got one of the original Leven ones (unfortunately not available anymore) but I believe an MX5 one may fit.

Thanks everyone, these are all the reasons I haven't used a cover in the past!
I do have a top cover, I will stick with that and give it a fresh polish and wax.

Hi, I would add a couple of points. Sun is not a good thing for a TVR, I would cover the whole car on a sunny day. Paint does degrade, as do tyres, etc, etc. Ditto animals…. My cat loves a TVR, easy to jump,onto, comfy to sit on.

So, given that during a windy day a loose cover can cause scratches, a tight fitting cover (I have an indoor cover, like a big sweatshirt, type material) will stop sun and cats.

Indoors always best!
