is up for Auction on the 10-11th Dec if anyone is interested.
www.personallyyours.co.uk/numbers_to_be_auctioned_on_the_1.htm

Found this while was looking for a Reg for my Griffith as a Chrimbo present.

I am looking to spend(as little as pos) £250-600 on one but have got completly confused with the number of options.

So HELP is needed.

Do i get a TVR/GRF/500 reg and leave it on the car or invest in one with me initials, which is a little difficult as i only have two S and P.
Have found a few with POW in which is the first three letters on my surname.

What cha think peeps

Personally I'd go for a comic one. Much more interesting than a set of initials IMHO. Might be a little bit more expensive though.

I have bought an "Initial" number plate for quite a few quid and within a year it gone up by 25%. Trouble is i would not sell it so, fine investment only if you are going to sell it. Should of bought a few more, not my initials and sold them. Of course the value of investments can go up or down!

Rolling road hp check, the man himself talking to the ecu with a laptop and whatever remedial stuff it needs then another RR session to check performance gains (I imagine) It'll smooth the reponse and get the maximum performance from the engine, I want to do it to mine so badly cos at the moment it is lumpy as hell in town.

I found the power and torque only went up a small amount, but the throttle response and tractability improved enormously. I wouldn't expect a huge power increase (unless the engine is non-standard or has a problem), but it's still hghly recommended.

Cheers

A cheaper idea would be to have your name changed to your reg number. For example; P123ABC, loads cheaper (80 odd quid i think at deedpoll) and has a bit of humour to it too.

Failing that, look at the cheap sheds in autotrader, and look closely at the plates, if you spot one with a decent plate on buy the car transfer it then scrap/burn/sell the car.

i know the person who owns this company(personallyyours) and can tell you that if you ever want a number ring or contact them.
He is a great gut who is into his cars (drives DB7) the same as anyone of you and is on the ball to get you what numbers you want.
He has done work for me and is both quick and efficient.
I grew up with his brother and always loved his merc coupe with BOY 1 on the plate.......coool.( he was 25)
but as for the plates i saw V8 AJP for 1700.00 that has to be the best plate of all.
I am sure he had a Porsche 911 with something like 711P (looked like 7 up) before the Merc.
Have you seen better plates?

Single digit plates like this DON'T depreciate.

If you're a Tiv-head and can afford it, buy it. Your Tiv will always then be a little more special than the one parked next to it.

(If I had a Tiv I'd be having a bid or two)

Might be prepared to part with my private plate (L5000CC) which is presently on my 95/N Griff 500. It gets the right reactions and if you're not worried about the "L" on a later year car, could be within your price bracket. Of course if you want the car as well, see the classifieds...

I bought D1 GRF to go on my Griff as I'm called Dave. On reflection it does limit the car you could transfer it to (but another Griff is no hardship )

But I can always try and flog it to a Dai or Diana Griffiths.
