Wondered at the time what the hell I would do if it was locked!! So could anyone please send me the door and boot method. I promise I will never tell a non grif owner, and if I did by mistake I would kill them!!!

Laugh if you like but this is EXACTLY what happened to me at the weekend. Car was in the drive AND locked (but battery was soooooo flat the door release buttons didn't even work). I had to jack up the car to connect 12V to the starter to charge the battery enough to get the doors open ... F%&$%$£ TVRs !!!! (all forgiven now)

Would appreciate the solution please (even though I'm a Chimp owner and you'd have to kill me)

One has to wonder why people do not read the manual when they buy the car. Or read the Griff/Chim bible. Or ask their dealer.

Or think why there are two little pull handles in the boot. And that's as helpful as you're going to get from me I'm afraid.

Bible not available till next week.

Dealer - 'kin useless (er, I mean, was unable to answer that question)

Car had no hand book when I got it (Hopefully the boys in Blackpool will come up trumps)

2 handles in boot - Fine IF YOU CAN ACTUALLY GET INTO THE BL**DY BOOT !!! ;-)

Thanks for the email on the boot.

Will look for the handles tonight?? and no I have never read a handbook except for tyre presures, etc.

So far never needed the diagram showing where the steering wheel is!

Have a look in the top corners of the boot. Give 'em a tug and see what happens. (Tip: best not do this if the car is parked against a wall. Unless you were going to re-spray the doors anyway).

Only one handle in my 97 Chimp (RHS) - right up under the right boot hinge.

PS. thanks for emailing me the info.
