I've just joined the Griffith owning club, after many years with an S1. Impression today - I took the very very long way home - it's like the S, but even more so!

What have I got? it's #1 of the last 100, it similar to, was in, some of the TVR publicity photo's, see Sprint Sept 2001 Pg 9. The colour is Wildfire Red. Since then it's got alloy stalks etc, 17inch spider alloys and a nice number plate - X500GRF.

Thanks for your help, although I didn't ask any direct "newby" questions I did do a few searches through the archives for buyer's advice.

David

PS I'd had Steve's book on "Griffith and, and, and something" for years!
PPS Keeping the S for now!

Well done sir... a SE aswell ! Good choice.

I fully intend wthout a dount to own a S series again. It will be a V6 rather than a V8. I would like to race one against those Tasmin boys ... but we'll have to see if they will let us play in their sandpit, which they do not seem to want to do at the moment.

I do not race or even sprint currently but would be up for that !

Thanks Guys. BB to add to your list, Two friends also moved from S's to new Griffth, S2->4.3 and S3->early 500 (ie many years ago). I know both regetted selling the S. So I'm keeping mine, at least over the winter.
Anyway here's a picture.

No I don't know (yet) where the alloys came from, also found a JSC in the NSF wheel arch! If it stops raining next weekend I'll have a better look!

Your wheels look very much like another chap's on here who has "Spider type" wheels on his Chimaera, they are TSW's www.pistonheads.net/gassing/topic.asp?t=20994&f=8&h=0&hw=wheels Rich...

p.s. nice looking Griffith

Car came as is, so no spares, via TVR Centre a few times, so TSW makes sense.
Thanks, I think Apache, you answered your own question!
