Spent yesterday at Power Engineering with Mark Adams and some other TVR's getting our cars sorted.

The intial run for my Grif 5.0 showed 277BHP at 5700rpm with 281lbs Torque.. Following this Mark tested the injectors and discovered 4 were not functioning correctly and had to be replaced. The car was also running lean wth some pinkng and needed the fuel regulator to be adjusted for more flow.

This all done, onto the re-map of the ecu.... results of this showed 277BHP and 284lb/ft torque. On the face it this doesn't seem to impressive(no bhp gain, 3 lb/ft gain), but its only when you see the graph it becomes apparent.

The gains in torque across the lower range were impressive, and its only when you drive the car you feel the extra surge plus a quicker repsonse in accelerating. Car also runs smoothly at lower revs when crawling in traffc.

Overall a a long day well spent. My thanks to Mark adams who was a true gent and explained everything...

Good point you make about although there is no increase in peak figure (pub talk) you have seen a good benefit from a better spread of low-mid range torque, this is typically where Mark can improve things, the later cars seem to be more difficult to increase peak figures due to TVR producing better fuelling chips (for the top end) but as you've seen still room for improvement,
The power graph looks impressive in that it "holds onto" the revs well.
