The splitter stops air turbulence shaking the bonnet up and down at high speed. The bonnet is only secured in front of the windscreen allowing the front edge to flap up and down (although ultimately tarpped inside the front bodywork)!

I reckon that's the answer!

David,

Yes please to those pics. Any plans for something on the rear - Tuscan S style?

I now have some conclusions concerning the missing tin spoiler at the front of the Griffith ... These are my opinions, not fact, only findings and what I am going to do about it ...

1 - The Griffith definitely runs hotter without the spolier. My conclusion is that the spolier creates a low pressure zone under the car which enables greater air flow through the engine bay/radiator.

My car is definitely running hotter on the motorway in comparable conditions to previously. I have checked all other attirbutable causes and they have not changed.

2 - Handling wise....if there is a difference it is only very slight. It only appears at speeds in excess of legallity. I am not convinced that it has no effect, I am just not convinced of how much effect it does have.

Conclusion ...

I will getting another spolier made and will be refitting it to the Griffith.

Cheers

Mark
