cammers,
Yes, my car came from Scotland originally. It was a demo at Brandon TVR, and then sold to a company near Edinburgh who owned it until about 9 mths. ago. From what I can gather they went into liquidation and the car went to auction. It ended up with a dealer in Northumberland, who after 6 months could not shift it despite a realistic price. He reckoned the problem was the colour !! When I offered the swap for my Cerbera he was happy to clear out the Griffith. I was happy to see the back of the Cerbera. Doubtless both the dealer and I imagine we have tucked up the other. A good result all round (so far!). The car is now back in Scotland after its brief English stay.

Not so much taking the plunge.... more like cliff diving into a boiling cauldron.....

Finally took my new accquisition out for a run today, can't find a smile big enough so WOW will have to suffice... it's everything I thought it would be, and a little easier to drive than I expected, mind you I was taking my time at first....

I now understand....

Marco,

There's a Griff 500 at www.tmstvr.co.uk – on the Used Griff page.

Yellow Pearl with full black hide and yellow dials.

68k on the clock though.

£15,995.

Thanks Bo

I'd seen that one but a few too many miles for me - I did 18k in as many months in my old Griff so need a few less to start with!

Cheers anyway

I got at about 2 this afternoon and have just tucked her in for the night after many hours driving the whole family one by one around the country roads nearby.

well done sim, dont be a stranger in the S forum now just cos you've gone up market. I rang and enquired about one the same as you just bought today but he took the pi*s on my p/x value. This was quite lucky really cos I couldnt afford it anyway. All the best with it and i'm looking forward to a ride in it at the next meet.
P.S still havent fitted those pedals but my wheels are back from polishing and they look mint

OK, so now I am really falling in lve with this car. Finally took the Mrs. out in it the other night and declared 'Now I will only do this to you once, just so you understand'... and then let rip in 2nd gear nearly ripping her head off!!!!!! Oh what joy...

But don't you find people just wanting to race you all the time... they sit so close to your tail, trying to anticipate when you are going to go... then you do, 3 secs later they are 100yds behind... and you change from 2nd to 5th and go back into cruise mode.

Also had the roof off yesterday. What a pain that is. The battery conditioner had been located just in the right place to make it impossible to stow the roof, which led to an entertaining 15mins in a laybay on the A30!!!

Big grins all round....

I agree....the roofs a tad tricky....especially when you're carrying luggage for two in the boot! But well worth it though....just been to Cornwall and back to London over the weekend. The roof was down the whole time...faaannntastic!!!
