Suspension/brakes - opinions pls
Discussion
Yes they are rose jointed, can't realy say if they're noisier though, as the car is so noisey anyway, I think there's more noise from the fact that it sits 1/2" closer to the tarmac than anything else, by the way i did Mallory park yeterday and it eats cerberas on corners with shite tyres! so3's on the way me think.

Picked the car up from peninsula this afternoon. To say that I'm pleased would be a massive understatement!
The handling is so much better it could almost be a different car.
Before it was v.nervous directionaly, had a really unpleasant floaty feel over the bumps & was generaly loose. used to crash & bang a bit as well.
It's now rock solid (for a TVR!) in a staight line & feels extremely well 'tied down' if you know wot I mean.
The suspension now has that lovely firm but compliant feel that good quality kit gives you (best comparison I can give is with Ohlins stuff on bikes).
I realise that most of the cars previous behaviour can be put down to worn standard shox & knackered wishbone bushes, but I also drove a later car & my new set up knocks spots of that as well.
The brakes are now in a different league, I shall lok forward to trying to make them fade at PH2002!
Spec: nitrons/poly bushes/285mm drilled & grooved front discs with Hi-spec 4 pot calipers & EBC green pads/drilled & grooved rear discs with greenstuff pads/braided hoses all round. Standard ride height/front=-1Deg camber,10' toe in/rear=-0.75 camber.
Exensive road test on the A30/A272 in the sun

Quinny - 'Hi-spec' is the make of caliper.
Kerniki - no those settings are not standard. This is how Richard at Peninsula set it up (I gave him a 'wish list' of how i wanted it to handle) & I think he did a good job. There is now visibly more -camber on the front.
Monaco - I had the chassis waxoyled & a fan overide switch fitted at the same time. Total was just under 2800. I did cost up the parts when I was trying to decide whether to do the work myself or not, result was send it to Peninsula! HTH.
