Picture of the scoop about 17 posts above.
Any more photo's, struggling to make out where that is exactly?

I don't think the early Griffiths have the vents in the boot floor, mine doesn't so Clives scoops would only work if you drilled the floor.

Mine does {92 precat).
I just need the link to the diagram with the dimensions so I can make them. The old link doesn't seem to work?

Looks like the back of the car, near the handbrake cable assuming they are all routed along the back chassis member. Just in board of the rear wheel.

Dims, Clive posted that the bottom edge sits down 40mm from the chassis rail and that it is near the rear wheel. Width most likely varies depending what holesaw they managed to steel that day.

Yeah, thanks. Had kinda guessed it would be the back not the front of the car laugh

Makes a bit more sense now I realise that's the handbrake cable not a fuel pipe, time to go and crawl underneath thumbup

I've got a copy of the templates and instructions that Clive originally posted on the Griffith pages. There aren't any dimensions there are templates that you print out on A4 to give you the approximate size.

I've uploaded them to my dropbox account if you want them.

I'm thinking of bottling that 'New TVR Griffith' smell and selling it on Ebay.

It's called Eau de-canoe.

The heady aroma on fibre glass resin, exhaust fumes and leather

biggrin

Made and fitted these. No more fumes!! Highly recommended if you have a fume problem.
I have tried all the other remedies over the years with little or no effect.
Simple to make and fit.
Just thought I'd share the outcome.

A quick question, I'm picking my Griffith up in a week or so and am now wondering, do they all smell of exhaust fumes? I test drove with the roof down so couldn't say if this one did or didn't

I've been asked by a fellow tvr owner to make some of these for them. Should any one else want some then please message me. Like the original design I will be donating to the original charity for use of the design.

Is there a consensus on what this mod does and/or what the holes were originally for? (I've read the thread and it doesn't seem so).

Where are exhaust fumes getting into the car? Flowing back and going in through the holes seems unlikely. In through the boot? Looking at the way the exhaust exits and the shape of the rear it looks possible that they could go on through the boot if the seal's not great....?

So does the mod force air both into the cabin and out of the boot to prevent any exhaust gases getting in?

Had these little scoops on my car since Clive posted them initially. They work by pressuring the boot & the contents no longer stink of exhaust fumes. No matter how good your boot seal is.

I would presume that opening the window 'sucks' air out of the cabin reducing the pressure in it? As the boot is open to the cabin, along the sills, then it too would be at reduced pressure. This would then pull in air from any available source, so any opening around the exhaust outlets would let the car suck in exhaust fumes?

The 'scoops' look as if they catch underbody air and force it into the cabin via the boot. The subsequent over pressure would stop the exhaust gas from getting into the car.
