A mad, bad Mini project
Discussion
Epic amount of work going into this, I reckon you would make a small fortune if the front wiper assembly could be recreated and sold as a kit. Having had to drive mine in the rain last weekend is not a pleasurable experience.
I bet you'll still get wet footwells whatever you do to Binky!

considering the number of hours that went into it, they would be expensive! they would have to reduce the time it took!I bet you'll still get wet footwells whatever you do to Binky!
Must be getting close to the point where it all has to come back out for paint.
Talking of which, what is it going to be?
British Racing or Brooklands Green, white, union jack or body coloured roof?
Or one of those new trendy colours that Audi use like;
Hearing aid beige
Smegma white
Three wheeler invalid carriage blue / green
Shiny primer grey
Hillman Avenger orange
Highlighter pen blue / yellow / orange.
Or in homage to the importance of tea...
BLVC387 Barley Yellow
BLVC93 Bracken
BLVC15 Bronze Yellow
BLVC442 Primula
BLVC846 Solar Yellow

It did my nut in a bit when they didn't put a protective grommet in that power cable hole in the engine bay.
The obsessive in me keeps thinking about it. How fking sad is that.
: yes: I presume it will eventually be fitted with grommets, but hated that it wasn't done at the time. The obsessive in me keeps thinking about it. How fking sad is that.

Don't see what the fuss is with the loom, a clever choice and a massive timesaver.
I'd they'd gone from scratch, they'd (or anyone else) would still be working out the component pin-outs!
Yeah, I don't have a problem with the choice of loom at all. It makes perfect sense since they've adapted loads of Rover stuff onto the car, it's cheap and easily available. Anything significantly newer would be Can-bus hell as they said.I'd they'd gone from scratch, they'd (or anyone else) would still be working out the component pin-outs!
The fuse box brackets were a work of art, as usual.

I'm curious what they're going to do with the alternator.
They'll probably do away with it completely and come up with a fusion reactor run on hobnobs and pop it in the centre console.

Gawd knows, maybe a toothed belt off the propshaft with the alt cunningly mounted under the drivers seat.I'm curious what they're going to do with the alternator.
