Lol'd at the bit at the very end, oiling the castors on the engine hoist.

Not that it'll do any good.

I swear you need someone ahead of them sweeping the workshop floor with a broom like it's a curling competition to have any hope of smooth movement.

I saw the leak comments on here before I had seen the episode as we were away, but having seen a tweet from Richard a few weeks ago about needing a vegetable for a get, I had a very good idea of what was coming from those two!

hehe

Stunning achievement though to squeeze all that running gear into a car the size of a Mini.

I will be very interested in the episode where they make it road legal, I assume it is going to be IVA'd and registered as a new vehicle.

Are they? I thought the point of the L'Escargot was to transport it from place to place. Maybe they decided making it road legal was a lot easier and the truck is no more, not sure I could stand 7 years of truck work.

I had assumed until this episode that they were actually going to rally it, what are they going to do with it? Shows?

It will be a road car as I understand it, and they are building the Escargo to ferry it to and from shows all over the country (as well as other uses I'm sure). In fairness, while it will be a fun car to drive locally, I'm not sure you'd want to use it for a 5 hour drive on the motorway in the rain so it can be on display somewhere the next morning!

Good question about registering it though, not sure they have kept enough to retain its identity hehe

As great as it is to see the engine start I'm slightly sad that this project is coming to an end.

They did say to ferry Binky to shows was the reason for it but I cannot remember if the 205 was part of the plan but makes sense

Yeah and maybe the MG too.

I wonder if that’ll be a road car for Rich or maybe a circuit car. Time attack maybe?

Or that BRSCC championship based on PWR…

The speed they work at it will need to be electric powered!
