10k a month shared between two well qualified people doing a lot of hours, materials and bills is not a lot of money. In fact I'm surprised they're making it work an hope they're making more than that from other stuff.
Agreed. I wonder if they take on other fabrication work?People seem to think that being a youtuber is an easy route to riches but I doubt it is great apart from a very few big hitters.
I guess bad obsession get Patreon (I pay) You tube and then other sponsorship?

It was running back in August, but Richard said on Twitter it was very much thrown together, without filming it. That Weston Park outing revealed a lot of the issues such as the clutch and flexi drive, that and filming the reassembly they did before August takes us to where we are now.
Back to the film, that clutch linkage!
I’m not sure what impresses me more, Nik’s ability to create a solution to a seemingly insurmountable problem, or the ability to the actually make it.

As usual, amazing work.
The way the teething troubles have (so far) been dealt with is up there or even above all of what has been done before. It takes supreme effort and bloody mindedness to resolve such issues.
The short panning shot of the full prototype and scrap mechanisms, not mock-ups, is testament to their resolve. I would have slammed the garage door and gone indoors for six months faced with far, far less to deal with.

Their website says they are a leading race and rallying prep company so maybe that is their bread and butter still?

Awesome work as always, but did anyone else notice , in the video, the loose bolt down by the alternator when they warmed the engine up, hope they did.
But other than that a truly brilliant show of thinking outside the box as always, nearly there by the look of it, would love to see it in the flesh when its done

Sorry for bumping the thread and getting you excited.
Are the lads still alive?
Does anyone with patreon status know anything?
Have they encountered a problem Nik can't grind his way out of?
March update said they were doing the instrument panel and switches, but it's all complicated because it's Binky so of course it's complicated Are the lads still alive?

It's because they are both artists, and like all artists they don't know when to stand back and say "It's finished"There's always something to add or change
