March update said they were doing the instrument panel and switches, but it's all complicated because it's Binky so of course it's complicated
It's because they are both artists, and like all artists they don't know when to stand back and say "It's finished"There's always something to add or change

On Patreon now and YouTube on Tuesday 19th, there's a video of their run in the Bargain Racement Citroen C1 at Race of Remembrance 12hr last November. https://twitter.com/badobsessionmsp/status/1514943...

I’m looking forward to episode 59 where it’s decided titanium wheel bolts are required and we get to see them being machined.
I can hear the commentary track from Rich already:"Nik wasn't quite happy with the grade of titanium we could source, so we decided to find some titanium dioxide, some chloride and some magnesium, read up about the Kroll process, and set about forging our own bolts. After all, if it can be cut with a grinder, how hard can it be to make?"

Its funny, I can hear Rich saying these lines in my head as I read them.
Out of idle curiosity, I went back to the start of this thread to remind myself of when it started, which was 2013, and at the end of page 1 I found this:

Scranny,
We're hoping to have it rolling by Christmas and then a full strip down, shell dip and paint, clean and paint everything then finished by the spring ready for shows!

Since the Howie did it video in April they've been working on the dashboard instruments. They got some Smiths dials in, they didn't match but fitted them anyway so they could take unfinished Binky to a show, when they started the car none of the instrument lights matched either. So they decided to do the instruments themselves, 3d printing the PCBs, learning Arduino programming, everything from scratch, because Binky. They've put a few Binky related videos on Patreon, one about the instruments situation, one called 'WTF is going on?'. It's been a lot and will probably take up most of the next video. It's coming.
