A mad, bad Mini project
Discussion
Bloody hell, finally.
Why does editing seem to take weeks?
I genuinely don't know but it's the kind of thing that if I had to guess should take say 2-6 hours for a 30 minutes of content.
Leo from Tally Ho seems to spend an evening doing his from what he's said and from my perspective the output isnt too dissimilar from Binky. 20-30 mins episode, music overlaid, everything cut together nicely etc.
Just to emphasise (as if it wasn't clear) that's coming from a position of almost total ignorance.

Not going to lie. I am more than a little disappointed. They have spent a year telling us what they have been working on and why the video was taking so long, and there was effectively none of that content in the video.
I feel like that video could have come along a lot sooner.
In fact, given I was away, so didn’t even get the Patreon benefit, I think I am done with Patreon fees for them.

Leo released "A day in the life" video last night, he said it was around 30 minutes of editing for 1 minute of video. His schedule would drive me nuts and I'd be getting an editor ASAP.Why does editing seem to take weeks?

I hope Binky picks up the frequency again, one a year is a bit meh.
Acorn to Arebella employ an editor, they found editing was taking too long, so it is a mega job!
I have two people of similar age to their rear seat space testers, and can confirm that those size humans take a lot of time and energy, like a LOT.
Overall, a good Binky, brilliant details, really like the rear parcel shelf detail, I will await impatiently for the next episode!

I have three of those sized humans. It's put my big project car on hold for ten years now, I'm only just starting to think about getting on with it again. If you feel that your Patreon is not worth it, that is your choice, but don't assume you have all the information.

Same. Not that they'd care about what I think, but that was a decidedly light episode given it's the first one in a year and this is, apparently, their full time job. I feel like that video could have come along a lot sooner.

I understand that kids are really time consuming (I don't have my own but I can only imagine) and I'm absolutely sure that they have other stuff going on that means they can't work on it.
The end of the episode and what they say they've been doing for a good portion of the last 12 months makes me think there just HAS to be another episode hot on it's heels surely.

If its the equivalent to a wage then barring personal/family problems then maybe this vid is a bit long in coming.
Its still nice to see them back again, and I enjoyed watching it.
I envy those that have only just found Binky, they have a real treat of binge watching ahead.
