Hi, thinking of bidding on this, any ideas how to check authenticity of the item. Is it anything special ?

Doesn't look it's best does it, for a trade seller as well. Aside from the scruffy engine bay, wiring around the steering column, steering wheel, and the dent in right of boot, and a seller that can't be arsed to even attempt to make it look nice by putting air in the tyres,

they only came with two lamps, the wheel arches are wrong and an RSP was a single carb so I can see this has had a JCW tuning kit which explains twin carbs, that would be the 's' pack but I don't know about the handling pack, that may just be Koni adjustable dampers which I have on mine, but I don't know about it changing the arches.

A scruffy car I can see the trader has done nothing whatsoever to, considering it is supposed to be special, it's like an insult to the car (if not to the trade).

I bet the reserve is a lot higher than the bids too.

If that was mine I'd have had things apart to tidy it up, including bits from the engine for access to tidy the bay, this character will be using it's condition to say it's an original car, I can hear the patter now haha, so you must really want one, or are hoping for a cheap car maybe so are ok with it?
