Early Clubman Shell Wanted

Does anyone have or know of a good Clubman shell for sale? Must be a twin bolt subframe one.

Best of luck but I think you will struggle - they've all been hoovered up to re shell early GT's.

What do you mean by twin bolt subframe ?

I have a 1978 Clubman shell but it has been adapted to take a Metro GTI subframe with the Rover K series engine and running gear.

Pre '76 the front mini sub frame had 2 bolts to fix the towers to the front cross member and this changed to one big central bolt after that year.

As mini is a 1978 only has the large bolt fixing.

It's a throw back to hydro as on the hydro cars the hose pops right out of the hole used for the later single bolt frame.

....you can fit a single bolt subbie to a Mk1 or Mk2 but the purists don't like it
