The last time mine was on the rollers it was 100 BHP, the time before that was 107 BHP. The only thing I'd changed in that time was cleaning the pair of K&N filters a couple of days before.

I'm sure I can get more out of it, I think changing my cam would improve things - even if only making it more driveable

The last engine, the 1 in there now, gave 103 flywheel, 84 @ the wheels @ Aldon's last year - see profile for spec.

To be honest I was dissappointed coz had 83 and 86 b4 with a 643 cam years ago - now using a 286, although I did time it in early which maybe lost me some @ the top end.

Next time around will be scatter pattern.

Drivability on the road is no probs - with a 3.9 diff accel'n is v.good but runs out out of revs @ a ton+.

The JK box and Sals dif is still on the bench - business post lost the new diff plates so have to wait till next year to try them out now.

See ya morrow @ CC perhaps for a thrash.

Rolling road figures vary greatly, especially those in Cambridge. Expertise doesn't however. Power is not the ultimate goal.

The 1 litre has 85 ish at the flywheel, although this is probably well off since I switched the carbs and they haven't been set up yet. Did have 70 at the flywheel and 57 at the wheels before I switched the head, had the gearbox rebuilt and was running a 1" 1/2. Went from standard MG Metro to the full monty from Rob Walker and matched to the engine. Although I did specify that I wanted to use it on a 1380 afterwards. 1380 then became a TVR S3, so it's still on the 1 litre now. Will get rolling roaded once I manage to afford to get the car running again. Insurance + MOT + Road Tax + RR + TVR insurance + MOT + Road Tax = BIG money.

My Cooper S. No idea at all. 1293, std cam, mildly worked over head, Jan speed exhaust. 0bhp as I can't get it to start at the moment.

My fathers S, a fair bit. Last time it ran the only way to put it was it obliterated my 1 litre.
