Was going to say its probably the noise you’ve been hearing, don’t think you’ll get thought it with a hack saw, you just need to try and get it moving not sure what to do if it doesn’t.

Know what you mean about fuel costs, I’m using the TVR as I still haven’t renewed the insurance on the mini, also going to the use it while I take the engine out to change the gearbox, although after finding on Friday night that some arsehole has stolen all the tools out the boot of the mini may not be able to whip the engine out until I’ve replaced them

I had someone get in a nick my jack, spare and battery out of the boot when I was living in Fulham but to nick your tools, thats just bloody offside.

The amount of vans I have seen with 'No tools left you cs' on the back really is astonishing.

Well they smashed the window on my dads cars and took the CD player, ripped open the glove box to find the face plate, of course when we found that I had a look around my car and found the boot unlocked but forgot the tools had been in there as I usually leave them in the back of the Griff, only when I went to use the tools did I realise they’d gone, I had a starter for Griff in there which I found dumped behind the row of sheds at the back of the car park so they obviously decided to dump anything they didn’t want.
