Say hello to Norman. Purchased almost three years ago. In that time it's needed a new starter motor, new fuel pump and an exhaust down pipe. Not too bad.
The slowest vehicle on earth but I love it.

Yup never goes off road
The driving lamps were factory fitted when I ordered the vehicle and they do make a difference even to the admittedly good headlights on the car, on this pic the headlights are continental pattern and dip to the right, the ones in the other pic above with the LEDs are UK spec and dip left, for this last trip abroad I didn't have time to change them over before I left.

In the above pic the car is about 4hours old having just picked it up from the dealers in Inverness

Everyone filmed me driving round waiting for my "Not a real Landrover" to get stuck, the look of disappointment on their faces when the RRS just strolled through everything
Eventually they let me run on the black route for the trials they had just finished running, again it was fairly easy to do in the RRS and having the locking eDiff did help, the only thing that stopped me was the defender width gaps between the trees, the RRS was just a bit too portly for that

Some pictures of our new (to us) Discovery, a dog/tow/snow/weekend wagon.
Obligatory petrol station shots on collection:
I've started a thread on it here:

That's pretty cool that you do use it off road. And that you have some decent tyres on it too. Having a play in the playground, LRCH 20th Anniversary at Axel in Holland 2008

Sadly off road videos often look a lot tamer than they actually were. But there are different types of off roading.
I've just set up a demonstration trials section for our local clubs (Chiltern Vale Land Rover Club) annual funday that is happening tomorrow. In a Defender or a Series it's pretty easy. But something with big overhangs is just going to get damaged. I have a Range Rover that is more than physically capable of driving the section. But would likely result in a cracked or ripped off rear bumper and maybe scuffs to the front one.
This is a section from a few years ago. A friend took his RRS round it. Although didn't do the last couple of gates because it would have damaged the bumpers. It still ended up breaking the front number plate and pulling a bit off side plastic trim off one of the doors.

And in the grand scheme of things, this is still pretty tame off roading really.

As said, your not trying unless you have 3 wheels "off road"Having a play in the playground, LRCH 20th Anniversary at Axel in Holland 2008

I let my wife drive round the course at Axel... Plastic and tree roots don't mix Sadly off road videos often look a lot tamer than they actually were. But there are different types of off roading.

The previous night we did a RTV/treasure hunt, started out on a MX track, again they questioned my sanity in taking a RRS round the track but it was fine.
On the sunday my wife wanted to go home so I drove her back to Exel in Belgium and my son wanted to go to the event in Axel, so back we went sadly I never had the camcorder with me as that was when I persuaded the organisers to let me have a go on the route for the trials vehicles ... the wife would have killed me if she had seen where I took the car
They had a 50m long mud bath, it took me 4 attempts going through it to manage to get the car stuck and then I got pulled out by a Disco 2, that video surfaced on youtube for a while but not seen it in a long while.
@Stickyfinger: Only ever managed to get either 2 wheels diagonally or 4 wheels off the ground at the same time.
In the above video the plastic side trim came off the driver's door, it was quite easy to replace as only the plastic fasteners had broken, now I keep a bag of them under the rear seats just in case

Suicide doors? Never seen that before. Ace.
They all do that - although I think suicide doors open towards the rear.Edit.. Thinking about it & don't know if it makes a difference or not but I've probably got series 3 door hinges on a series 2.
