Hello All,
Just seen my much loved E61 M5 Touring drive off in the hands of its new owner. A sad moment - been a wonderful car to me but was wasted with kind of driving I do (loaded up with two very small children plus wife. Plus said wife pootling about in a 500hp supercar using 0.001% of the performance didn't help.
So - tomorrow I go to pick up my 2010 Full Fat Range Rover TDV8 Vogue. 3 tonnes of leather and wood will make for quite a different experience, but one I'm looking forward to.
Buck Blue - One owner - a 70YR old cattle breeder from Scotland who's a CBE no less, and I'm getting from a dealer who took it off the hands of the franchised dealer in Stirling.
Placed a deposit on it unseen - but had the dealer run it round to Land Rover Centre in Liverpool who spent two hours going over it with a fine toothcomb and pronounced it to be in excellent condition - drove like it had half the 97k miles. I normally don't buy high milers, but the prior ownership history plus it having done motorway miles up and down scotland plus the ability to get into a 2010 for the price of a 2007/57 were just too tempting. Test drove the same car with lower miles admittedly at a main dealer that was up for £36k..
Fingers crossed I've bagged a bargain - tomorrow will tell when I go pick it up and pay for it..
Pics below - I'll take more once I have it..
