notice a small no. of these for sale at a few places - in rhd and lhd - always low miles , high spec. and low price. why would anyone not buy over uk models ? surprised more have not been brought in.

kingsley cars who refurbish classic rr , tend to be pricey with their used vehicles - have a jap. import - unrestored - for sale for well over £20k - yet a garage in York is selling what looks like similar jap imports for about £10 K !

Wonder if japan is full of these vehicles ? there seems to be some very interesting European modern classic/ prestige vehicles over there .

Do you have a link to the york one?
Certainly Kingsley did (and may well still do) import a lot of vehicles - often 2 door ones that were only made either abroad under licence (I assume) or for export only.

Interestingly I had a similar conversation with a friend at the weekend. We pondered where there might be RRCs in RHD and a dry climate which might want to return home smile What about South Africa?

Would be interested in a link to any japanese sites selling these?

Thanks - I was actually thinking of sites in Japan with cars for sale? Ones which could be bought and (re)imported?

They would generally be well specced, a lot less rust & in fine condition if general JDM cars are anything to go by.

Also current JDM LR exports are built to higher standards than the UK/Euro cars & I believe this has been the case for a long time, as the Japanese car buying public are very fussy.

If I were looking for something future classic its a source I'd most certainly consider if the price was right.

Japanese don't salt the roads, ergo, less rot

Not very expensive if these are to be believed. No reason why you wouldn't.

Could drive one back, ferry to Vladivostock and then across Siberia into Western Russia and Europe.

i seen some of the work from kingley cars and they go trough every inch of the car to make sure its rust free. they change every component they can to be brand new. they redo the seats and all the interior.
the car is in better conditions than when it left the factory when it was built. before people criticize they should visit him and have a look at the cars.

Their work on cars is first rate .... Still wouldn't touch them with a barge pole

The Japanese rr kingsley have hasn't been restored - price is pretty steep ! I like the work that bluebird engineering do - but they keep low profile - no website - prices seem very reasonable

no little about them , they have full page ads in classic motoring magazine - used to be classic cars for sale magazine - they sell refurbished classic rrs - including convertables and ones with 3.5 litre mazda diesel engines. prices seem very keen. they keep a very low profile and vehicles seem slow to sell !

This from another forum might be of interest:

Edit 19/9/18. The link I put no longer exists due to Bauer pulling the plug on the LRO forum & it just goes to their new irrelevant forum so I've deleted the link.
