Hi all,

Was in the USA this weekend, I went to the Philly Car Show and they had the new Sport sitting there.

Anyway, initial impressions...... hmmmm. I liked it but I preferred the look of the new 2005 RR with the Jag 4.2 engine sitting next to it. It looks similar to the new disco from the front (well it does share its platform) low windscreen, light clusters. Sloping roof line looked fine and it sat quite low. The interior was brill.

The only thing I didn't like was the rear tailgate, which had some really nasty badging. Big Sport and RR lettering and great lumps of plastic.

Oh well.

If anyone can tell me how to post pics I will.

I saw one on the road the other day and assumed they were already for sale. Then I saw a 'spy' shot of one in Autocar today.

Saw one on the M4 outside Birmingham last week. Silver, LHD, no tape or crap hiding the detailing. Looked very good, far nicer than the latest flatsided Discovery and Range Rovers.

It will be interesting to see what Overfinch will do with it, or will they lose custom because its already 'Sporty'?

Spotted one in Gloucester last week. Looks a lot nicer than the full fat RR.

I like it, Ive emailed the local dealer to find out about timescales and ordering process.

from the engines available I think I might have to go for the oilburner though as a close on 60k price for the V8 turbo brings you close to lots of alternative vehicles....

Went to the Chicago Autoshow for a second look at them and I am now smitten. Definately Zambezi for me. I'm surprised there is a range of engines and trims on them, I thought a @sport' RR would only come in one spec?

I heard to hold out for the V8 deisel engine when it comes out in 18mnths......................
