Yes the MPG is quite poor. There'll be a setting for the radio cutting out so abruptly. The sat nav looks ok but doesn't work brilliantly; the directions it gives can be odd at times! SE Tech is the middle model and HSE, will get pano roof as standard, leather, and some other small bits as standard. It is a good car but not without its flaws.
"mpg is quite poor."
We have averaged 40.9mpg over 22k miles which I think is not bad for a 7 seat 4x4 and a lot of that is around town!
Also we are on the original tyres which will easily do another 10k miles if not more.
That's good going; not sure how you've managed that; I could only ever get around the 32mpg mark when I had my DS... it was the Ingenium version; must have a heavy right foot frown

It's my wife's car and it's the Ingenium version also and it has been an excellent car and very cheap to run!

My mate had one for a month, I went in it maybe 6 times max, it was nice and comfortable. However I have just looked and they are £35k plus, I honestly would not have had them at that money seems too much, my dads 10 year old a6 is nicer!

Surely a 7 seat nearly new x5 is the way in this sector?

Perhaps if you don't want any actual off road ability... maybe.

And don't mind the awful ride?

I had a discovery sport for 18 months, it was the new 2.0 engine with general grabber tyres on it as it did go off road. It averaged 25 mpg, it was a good car and had the odd hissy fit but was fixed by the dealer with no issues.

I have now traded up to a range rover sport 3.0 which is also averaging approx. 25 mpg surprisingly.

Heads up that there's a rear disc corrosion issue on these. Mrs SB's car at 2 years/23K miles just needed new rear discs/pads.

Replaced under warranty after some minor argy-bargy with the dealer. Seems you have to complain about a grinding noise from the rear brakes to get this fixed FOC (even if there's no noise yet...)

No wear sensors on the rear pads AFAICT, so any grinding noise is going to be pad backing meeting the disc.

Replaced under warranty at first service through factory recall/upgrade!

FL2.

Mine was a late model. I've got plenty of Rover bits in my MGF but did find the washer bottle top is the same as the MGZT when I lost mine on the FL.

The FL2 I owned had the feel of a little L322. Individual ATM rests, decent quality leather, and a generally robust air to
The cabin with high seating, low window sills and those castelations on the bonnet.

My DS interior - in HSE trim - is no where near as classy.
