Hi,
I'm pondering fitting a Rocky Mountain overdrive to my 300tdi 110. Do any of you have experience of driving a Defender with one fitted?

Changing to 1.2 ratio transfer gears doesn't give the flexibility I want...

We have decided for a GKN OD in ours (as I didn´t want to handle a further gear stick in the cabin).
We don´t want to miss it anymore and it paid for itself in fuel savings earlier than expected.
The Defender is much quieter and comfortable with it, esp. on motorways.
It works best with an engine tuning though, otherwise it has difficulties to manage rises in 5th. gear with OD switched on.
