So its £30k to run it for 3 years then walk away

A new one would be 60k after a discount so your mate needs to take a punt on what it would be worth at this point if bought for cash and then decide for his/herself

Simple really!

FWIW my old RR Sport cost me approx 5k per year over almost 8 years from new in depreciation, tax, servicing, tyres and repairs
I'd have a new one in a heartbeat at this price but clearly thats just not going to happen these days
