Official MY18 Range Rover released:

I'm still happy with our choice of the new MY18 Sport, but that does look bloody marvellous.

Seen a few testing this week with the black and white camo wrap so could be the 2018 model. Defo Range Rover size.

It’s on the Landrover Website. Which engine to go for?

V8 petrol = smooth, powerful, thirsty.
V8 diesel = great all round but diesel taking a hit.
PHEV hybrid = 400hp but untested in real world.

If you can afford a brand new Range Rover, I doubt fuel consumption is really that much of a worry. I can imagine some wanting the SDV8 for it's cruising range etc., though.

Crikey thats quite a step backwards, not that most RR owners will care about it not being able to tow 3.5T

Might actually be the first RR since launch that can't tow 3.5

London will be absolutely full of them, they’ve arrived at the perfect time with diesel hysteria, there are tax breaks here and abroad etc.

I would take the supercharged 3.0 petrol over all of them personally.

Love that engine, but would obviously want to try it in an L405 before committing.

V6 petrol is a very niche choice, not massively more economical than the V8 petrol, no lowdown diesel torque, seems a bit pointless.

The 2.0 Ingenium engine (that’s in the PHEV) seems to burn through the oil - according to Evoque owners, so wondering if this issue is likely to carry over into PHEV.

Thanks for the links! I hadn't actually realised there was an update on the way. Must say it looks lovely, with subtle updates to the front. The dashboard looks great, although the current version's dashboard is still very nice.

I've got the SDV8 in my '14 model and it's a fantastic engine. I'm getting around 33mpg on a long journey and I've never felt that I needed any more power.

Struggling to see the difference TBH, but I'm not their key demographic. Still hate the Dame Edna Everage elongations on the lights front and rear.

I can’t see the differences except the interior screens. It’s a facelift, right?

Looks pretty damn good! For me personally I'm just not sure about the increase in amount of 'touch' equipment inside the cabin - specifically the climate control screen and the steering wheel buttons, the buttons especially could be a problem given how 'well' touch screen stuff works.

Anyway, car looks great and I'll definitely take a look at one when they arrive. The plug in should be a good company car option too given co2 figures.

As coo as it looks, I agree, something nice about the oversized buttons on our Range Rover, I thought the idea was so you could always operate everything easily with gloves on? That wont be happening any more.

Completely agree..... Why all of a sudden have we developed this hate for buttons?

Personally, I can't stand touch screens - My wife often applies hand cream, which then leads to smudges on car touch screens, meaning I spend my life cleaning them off!
