Considering a FFRR Vouge TDV8 - advice
Discussion
Sooo, a bit of a story to this purchase.
I’ll keep it short, deposit was paid and a price agreed for the RR and my car as a PX. Then little Joe5y arrived and because of an array of issues at birth (both fine now) I pulled out of the deal and my deposit was returned. Thank you for your understanding Cameron.
Roll forward 4 months, I sold my car privately for £2k more than the PX price and started looking for a FFRR. Coincidentally the same day I sold my car the EXACT same car was up for sale for £3k less than it was 4 months prior. Alarm bells naturally but I was too inquisitive not to call.
(Long story shortened). The guy bought it as he was part way through the process of emigrating to Canada and wanted a nice car before he left. Anticipated the process of selling house, business and sercuring jobs being a year or so but he now has a moving date of May 15th. Hence the car up for sale so soon. Having checked his story as and where I could we arranged for me to have a look (the day after I sold mine). House was being boxed up, motorbikes were being sold etc. Checked the car over, test drove, checked all with seller - probing questions etc.
I now have the car I originally ‘bought’ in decmeber for £5k less plus it’s now sporting 2 new tires.
