Defender - what tyres?
Discussion
The time has come to think about replacing my Defenders tyres.
I currently run BF Goodrich KM2 Mud Terrains.
The Land Rover is my daily driver and is a 2009 Defender 110 with a 2 inch suspension lift.
I use it for pootling around town, to and from the office, highway driving and offroad stuff. It needs to be optimised for the offroad stuff, and I can accept compromised performance in the other areas.
About the offroad conditions: steep hills and side slopes, sticky heavy red clay, the sort that fills the gaps in the tread and turns the tyre into a grip-free ring of slippery clay.
Is anything better than the current tyre?
Going on an expedition to the Darien Gap soon and would rather not get stuck.
Cheers.
