[quote=DanX5]An update on this one:

New battery fitted last Saturday which seemed to stop the multiple error messages popping up (although in process of this managed to lock my keys in the car with engine running, no spare keys!! Recovery guy used inflatable pouches in top of drivers door frame to allow him to insert a rod to open the window).

However, even with new battery, the drivers light was still flickering / strobing and the TFT screen was dimming / brightening randomly. Booked back in the garage this week.

Explanation by garage was that it turned out to be an earthing issue on rear arch to aluminium body where the earthing strap had completely corroded, causing electrical issues throughout car.

Cost to fix the issue:

Initial diagnostics, reset and test drive 109
New battery 182
Further investigation and replace earthing strap 152
Total 443

I am currently experiencing the same issue with my 2016 RRS
Please can u share the details of the garage you took it to for repairs?

Two years on I think you'll be lucky to get a reply. DanX5 doesn't look to have posted much In the last year.
But you never know.

Hello all.
I own a 2014 Range Rover Sport Dynamic, and had exactly this fault with exactly the same errors 2 weeks ago. I had a land rover mechanic look a the charge on the battery, it was reading lower than it should. (Original 2014 Landrover battery in place still). He suggested i replace the battery which i did but no immediate change to the errors.

The car drove but with the gearbox fault and E-Diff not available, most electrical services were erroring and the car was not allowing me to get out of second gear (automatic).

I wanted to thank you for this post two years ago.. i suggested to the mechanic whom thought this might be an earth linkage problem. He jacked up the car on my drive, removed the drivers side front wheel, removed the inner arch cover, and the earth linkage point just below the alternator had sheered off. He re-drilled a new bonding point on the chassis and remounted the earthing points to this.

Immediately the car restarted still had a few errors, drove off the driveway and all faults and errors cleared. I have left it a couple of days before posting to this link, but happy to report that the car is driving link a decent RR Sport should drive.

I put the sheering off of the earth bonding point down to recent really cold weather in the UK. for good measure the mechanic popped off the other front wheel and put a new earthing point on that earth bond for good measure as both are reasonably exposed to the elements in the wheel arch's.

I hope this helps other fond lovers of RR Sports but is a fairly inexpensive fix.
