Fitted side steps this afternoon, and did our first “all the kids in the street will fit in” trip to the cinema yesterday.

Pretty much, this is a good video, mentoning where some of the sill trim clips are replaced with the step bolts which is omitted from other videos:

I had to cut away a little more of the sill trim than the markings indicate to clear the front bracket, and the mounts needed a tweak with the hammer to get the step to sit down properly.

My kit didn't have nylock nuts or spring washers for the small nuts that hold the steps to the mounts, I will swap them over at some point as I could see those working loose.

It was a bit trial and error whether to fit the mount bolts below or side first, generally I would start with the ones underneath and fasten them loosely before doing the others.

Worth getting the trim tool to remove the clips under the car:

Impact gun or socket adapter for cordless drill also useful but still easy job by hand.

I reckon once you have done one, it's an hour a side tops.
