There would seem to be a mounting consensus that the steering wheel neither meets the form nor function standard.
Why do designers fail to understand that if it isn't broke don't mend it and insist on reinventing the wheel.
It is the only thing that your naked skin is in contact with constantly but some muppet thinks it is a good idea to put cold hard metal on it.
Just what is the advantage of the valley around the joint between the 2 colours and on what planet is it a good idea to have cream leather where your fingers will constantly be.
The 405 wheel has all the switches within reach of a thumb but this control panel requires the driver to move their entire hand.

Very nice, had Ivory on my last one, Perlino looks great.
Haven't seen Belgravia on a real one yet, but have seen the sample and it looks good. There is also an image on Geely China of an Evoque in that colour.
Haven't got a build date yet, as I begged not to be in the first batch!
What can I say… The warranty service has been exceptional to date! Long may it continue Haven't seen Belgravia on a real one yet, but have seen the sample and it looks good. There is also an image on Geely China of an Evoque in that colour.

There's really not a lot of chat on here or FFRR about the new one. Who has one ordered?
I'm in for Belgravia/Caraway, p400 AB.
Leather was a difficult choice, I would have preferred the Caraway to be a bit darker. Or the Deep Garnet to be a bit more burgundy.
Have a deposit down but I’m waiting for the hybrids. I’m told early next year….I'm in for Belgravia/Caraway, p400 AB.

It has to be more than the V8, and the p440e (I think) will need to be a good chunk above the p400 or sales will be cannibalised. I think the real cost will be similar though due to the better GFV.
As an aside, I'm still not 100% convinced that the l460 can do the reasonably understated look like a l405 could do in the right spec. And I'm not convinced the lifted from F Pace interior, move away from full control of the seats on the doors to many functions via the screen, and cloth sun visors (shock horror! ) are quite in keeping with the price either.

I've just ordered one today and was told there's up to 12 months to wait.
I've gone D300, Belgravia, Ecru interior (looks like the old Oxford Sand) with the standard walnut finishers. I caved and got privacy glass on the SE base, but that's it.
I had a green/sand L322 TDV8 2010 and it was awesome when it worked!

When I put my deposit down - about 3 months ago I think - I was told to expect the car in the summer. Given that I want a hybrid, I'm not sure where that puts me in the queue, or whether they will not deliver hybrids for some time yet.
I would be tempted by a First Edition model if it had a hybrid option. Given how many short journeys I do these days, I just can't go back to a V8 diesel or petrol, much as I'd like to. And the extended range of the new hybrid will make a significant difference to me.
Regarding the interior of the new car, I sat in one and it did feel a notch higher in terms of quality. Hadn't thought about the screen being so similar to other LR / Jaguar products. I guess if it's that good, we can't complain?

I was torn but the little diesel looks like it gets decent economy and the OTR looks like pretty good value. I would be tempted by a First Edition model if it had a hybrid option. It's going to be a lot of additional cash to go for the hybrid. Unless you need that for tax, urban or another reason (performance?) then I can't see the maths working. I only do a few short journeys a week then a couple of long return trips a month at the weekend. Doubt I'll do 6k miles in a year.

Yes, I'm sure your'e right. It probably doesn't make sense from a financial point of view. Many of my journeys are barely long / far enough to even get the engine warm though. I still remember from my last V8 diesel FFRR how the tank would empty pretty rapidly despite barely doing any miles. With the hybrid, I rarely fill the tank up at all, except when I'm doing longer journeys. It's going to be a lot of additional cash to go for the hybrid. Whether that saving at the pumps is justified by the higher purchase (and resale?) cost, I don't know. Probably not.
