Thanks guys. Having some extra security fitted at the moment then off for a decent run tomorrow. It really is a nice place to be, the seats are so comfortable.

Out of interest, the insurance cost reduced by £200 a year compared with the L405 I PX’d. I’m with NFU.

Only dilemma now is whether to put in another order, due in 2 years time, whilst the depreciation is low smile

That looks fantastic Phil.

The Perlino interior is a great choice on these.

Absolutely you should be ordering another; when we collected ours a few weeks back i put an order in for a 510e SV.

On a 70 mile journey yesterday we averaged 38.1mpg...not bad for a big lump!

Very nice! Enjoy the miles!
Looks great. Love the interior.

I wonder if it would look good on silver alloys?

Random question. Does any one know the height of the tailgate when it's open?

Eg. Could you open it within a garage/car port?

Maybe you could set it?

Unless for some reason they’ve changed it, you can set the opening height.

You can set the opening height of the tailgate on the L460. It’s in the depths of the menus.

I thought it was just a button push combo on the tailgate itself?

It is but its opening height can be set.

If you are in EV mode and you plant it the engine won’t fire. If you are in any other mode and the engine fires then it will stay running (even if you come to a stop) until it warms up.
In the RRS 440e in EV mode, if you floor the loud pedal, the engine does kick in - and I mean floor the pedal to the mat. This probably is a safety feature as the car may feel you need full power to get you out of a situation ...or a safety feature to let you have fun when you want to!
Having the engine fire up under full power yikes let’s hope they have not put cranks in made of chocolate in these.
If I'm reading the parts diagrams correctly the traction battery shares the cooling loop with the engine, so you might find it'll heat the engine to 40-odd degrees (which helps a lot with oil viscosity). Not ideal but with thin oils not as much of an issue as it used to be, I would bet on it having restricted performance when really cold too.

Are they really quoting a 2 year delivery time now? I took delivery on a new RR in September last year, I was going to order another one this summer to arrive summer 24.

For those with a P440e did you know that you can register for Congestion Charge exemption - amazing (I didn't think that hybrids counted)?

75g/km/20m range cleaner vehicle discount went in 2021 - plug-in hybrids have to pay, it’s only full-EV or fuel cell stuff that’s exempt (and those only until 2025).

It's probably an old application form. The exemptions are clear:
"Only battery electric or hydrogen fuel cell vehicles are eligible for the cleaner vehicle discount. From 25 December 2025, the cleaner vehicle discount will be discontinued."

That’s what my dealer quoted when I picked mine up last week.

What security system(s) would you recommend?
