Can keyless entry be disabled on the L460? If so, how?
I was told no when I asked my dealer and he checked with their tech people. There is nothing in the menu’s either. Unrelated, I turned off the automated emergency front braking system after it nearly caused an accident!

What is UWB
Ultra Wideband - the signals from key (supposedly) can’t be recorded or relayed, the key is constantly measuring distance between the fob and car and won’t allow it to start unless it’s inside. https://www.fiaregion1.com/club-news-security-risk...

Open the door as you would with key-less, sit in the car and press the headlight button on the key Fob 3 times quickly, then press the unlock button on the Fob once. Key-less will now be switched off and you can unlock and lock the car from the key Fob only.APOLO1 said:

Doesn’t work on my L460. It 100 % works I have this on a video with the tech chap doing this. I insisted on this being done before I collected the car. It does lock out the Gesture tailgate though. Make sure you hold the key fob next to the dash so it can see the the key, press headlight button bottom left 3 times, then the unlock button top right one. Your dealer should know this.

Put your foot under the car.
Move it backwards and forwards between the rear wheel and the bumper.
The tailgate should open

I assume he means running your foot under the car near the back wheel to open the boot – I can virtually never get it to work on any of the cars that have had this feature and just stand around waggling my foot around like an idiot.
I find it a PITA, triggers when you don’t want it and not when you want it too. I would be fine with it turned off. It is fitted on all L460 models.

Might just film it...

That’s the process the dealer used. It works fine on mine you need to press the buttons in quick succession.
Thanks. I’ll give it another go tomorrow. Going to inform my dealer cos’ his tech people didn’t know how to do this!
