I ran both a FFRR p400e and Velar p400e at the same time. It worked much better in the Velar, really impressive. I found with the FFRR, on regular long journeys, I was getting similar mpg to my supercharged.

I do mostly short journeys and I’m looking at the RRS, so it could be an okay fit

Very helpful insight, thank you. I have my eye on a car around £37k and it appeals in a lot of ways, but living with an outdated hybrid system for the next few years does concern me….
Yeah I can understand that. The other thing to consider around that budget with a Range Rover is insurance. A 2018 vehicle will be criminally expensive to insure in most of the country.

I think it depends on your usage pattern and your willingness to charge it.

The majority of my journeys are a handful of miles and I can charge at home. I can go months between fill ups.

I also do a handful of journeys down to Devon or up to Northumberland. Then I get mid/upper-20s mpg.

Overall I average 50mpg. I've managed 900+ miles out of a tank.

So if your use case looks like that, then I'd highly advise it.

3 months ago I couldn’t get a quote, now they’re coming in around 2.5k per year which is still a lot of course but I’m in no real rush so can keep an eye on that

I’m looking at 2018-2021 but I guess it’s the same for any of those…

Thanks. My usage looks exactly like that tbh, the odd long distance drive 200-300 miles each way but it’s 90% local driving.

Can charge at home on the driveway, just as you say, gotta plug it in!

It shouldn’t be because of UWB keyless being installed on the newer vehicles but yeah it appears to be the case at the moment.
