I'm really liking the look of a PHEV Hybrid SE as an upgrade to my current Discovery 5 HSE. A one year delivery time would work out about right for me too.
I was really surprised that there is still a 510 road tax on the PHEV. Seems very unjust compared to 0 on a pure EV. In my use case I would be running electric 90% of the time, if the range is indeed greater than my 50 mile daily round trip. A Taycan doesn't quite meet all the needs like occassional towing in mild off road conditions in the same way the Range Rover does.
Maybe it is irrational to contemplate spending almost 90K and whinge about 500 quid road tax, but for some reason it really grates!
Do like the look of this new RRS though.
VED on my 440e PHEV from LR website is £0 18g/km emissions. …..I was really surprised that there is still a 510 road tax on the PHEV. Seems very unjust compared to 0 on a pure EV. Has anyone ordered directly from the LR website without going via a dealer?
Playing around online, it seems to suggest that delivery will be around 32 weeks so wondered if just ordering from the comfort of my own home will be preferable to visiting an actual dealer?
I ordered my FFRR via their web site and was passed to my nearest dealer who completed the process. Playing around online, it seems to suggest that delivery will be around 32 weeks so wondered if just ordering from the comfort of my own home will be preferable to visiting an actual dealer?
Is the feeling lead times are going the same was for the RRS as they are for the FFRR?
I did ask about the FFRR and was told 18-24 months...seems after the initial release, where we may see a few cars on the road in September / October - the supply will dry up a little for factory orders?

My local dealer had a launch day this week, got to see the car in the flesh, it is lovely. They had a D350 Autobiography and a P440e Autobiography for people to have a look at and climb about in, also a couple of very helpful Land Rover Tech guys there happy to chat.
They were quoting 9 month lead times on orders placed that day, placed our order 2 months ago so should get it next Jan/Feb.

That is not a bad lead time, if it comes to fruition.

Going to see it on Saturday. I put a deposit down before official release so we’ll see when the car materialises, not in a huge rush. They were quoting 9 month lead times on orders placed that day, placed our order 2 months ago so should get it next Jan/Feb.

Anyone getting a launch car with fixed spec by JLR?
Yes; was called yesterday and offered one for delivery 1st week in Sept. They think my P440e order may now be nearer end of the year so offered me this on the basis I trade it back to them when my order actually arrives.
Told them I expect full price back plus the £5k price increase they have stuck on my order that has been delayed...

Which model have they offered you for 1 September? Is it not a hybrid? They think my P440e order may now be nearer end of the year so offered me this on the basis I trade it back to them when my order actually arrives.

I had a call letting me know it looks like mine will arrive in October and they have had confirmation of the build now.
Interested to hear about the price increase, they didn't mention that to me.
