300TDi would definitely benefit from a wider torque spread though, my 110 CSW is only just adequately powered when empty.
I've fitted an Allisport intercooler, increased the boost a touch to 0.95 Bar and rotated the boost compensator pin.
It really needs a VNT as the next step.

Any idea how much power its making?
I did enquire about a 300tdi disco the other day, the seller said he had tweaked the various screws a bit reckoned it was quither than a mapped TD5, 190hp. Safe to say he was absolutely full of crap, and I didnt buy it.

The Cummins engine is so heavy that the weight of the engine, a tank of fuel and a sizeable chap like me in the drivers seat leaves almost no payload.
As for the OM606/605, I love it. Its just so expensive, it would cost at least double the value of a tidy 300tdi just to have the conversion done.
