I was about to post a thread on the same subject, keen to hear people’s views.

Finance side of things a 2020 car 37k miles £48k is about £680/mth £1k deposit £32k iirc GFV (not a balloon) at 8.9% APR 48months

I think these are great value at the moment based on these numbers.

Seems a decent deal, where are finding this with 8.9%? Pm if it’s better.

Its actually £660mth with a GFV of £27.5k

Not sure on the rules but its a well advertised broker, when 8.9% APR PCP is googled it comes up as one of the first. Has the initials M and F. If you don't get it I'll PM you...once I work out how to do it !

No wonder a lot of people are driving these. 1k down and £550 a month lets you drive a SVR over 2/3/or 4 years with just an increased RV but the payments pretty much the same.

That does seem very strong. Fine print checking necessary but no wonder this is being discussed.

This is all music to my ears as I'm looking at a RRS (possibly the 400e) at a purchase price around £10k less than the SVR being quoted here. The finance numbers may work out better than I'd anticipated. That's a rare occurrence in my crazy mixed-up world of man maths! smile

I’m tracking the p400e prices too, but need the insurance quotes to drop below the £3k they are currently. In the meantime the cars values continue to fall so I’m in no rush.

For comparison a 2020 SVR is over 6k to insure!

So a little update for everybody I’ve had the finance documents arrive and called the finance company myself to query the balloon payment and they have said it doesn’t sound right however, if there is a mistake, it will fall on the dealer😂. I’ve spoken to the dealer and waiting for them to look into it in more detail.
