Can any visitors point out an offroad review where a Trooper or Jeep has been placed above a Land Rover in the overall results?

Edit: it's also about class, y'know.

hehe

...and its not just about articulation, its also about poise.

....in fact, articulation is for girls.

LOL,

did you see the safety results
the safest vehicle on the road was an Isuzu Trooper (1990-200) and joint was a defender,
and the anti 4x4 brigade annoying people say that they are unsafe!

yup the outside ones are P38's (manufactured from 1995 to 2002)

from 2002 onwards you get the latest Grown Up rangie is the L322 (i think) and the "baby" RR sport.

They cost a bit too much to go bashing about in a muddy wood with.

My Dad's just bought an interesting hybrid at the weekend, its a shortened Hylux chassis, with an Isuzu Trooper TD engine and box and a Series III LWB Truck Cab body, its even called a Toyota Land Rover on the reg documents. Looks really good, not had chance to try it offroad yet but it should be a beast. Its got monster ground clearance. The guy that did it just decided to use all the best bits off all the vehicles and thats what he ended up with.

I'll get some pics next time I'm out, will be a few days though. I thought about buying it myself for winter but he saw it first. I'll get a Landie one day though.

He wasn't in Dorset, was he? My wife's niece's husband(!) used to have something that looked very similar.

No, just about as far away from there as you can get, Aberdeenshire. I'm sure there must be other similar hybrids out there though.
