Range Rover Autobiography
Discussion
Hello,
I'm looking at buying an '03 RR Autobiography.
It has 110k on the clock but has had a new engine 20k ago, what should I be looking to pay for this?
Is it even worth touching, and will selling it on prove to be a nightmare? It's in fantastic condition so I'm very tempted!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks.....

I assume its a MkIII Rover?
If so, Autobiography IMHO aren't worth anymore than a regular Rangie, after its just a personal choice of colours and leathers etc. They have no value to a second owner, just a further 'choice'.
If you are concerned about re-sale, so will a perspective buyer from you.
The used market is literally awash with the MkIII cars at the mo. I believe due to the fact the car has been out for 4 years and the leased models/warranty expired models are coming through now. 18 months ago it was very hard to find a choice in these cars to purchase.
You can buy 52/03 reg MkIII's for £20-28k depending on mileage and spec. and condition. ONLY buy a Vogue, there is no point in a lower spec car.
For the vehicle in question, I would suggest a price from a private sale between £20-23k.
The big thing with this car are front diff failures, cost about £700-1000 to fix. My RR never had a prob through 50k miles, others with less are on their second or third diff! It is covered by the LR warranty, which costs £1497/yr, but only for RR's with less than 60k miles at time of renewal.
Good luck.
